Ginger Mail **Giveaway**

Alright, you lovely people, I have an adorable giveaway this month from Ginger P Designs.  If you haven’t heard of this wonderful little paper company, then definitely check out the link. They offer invitations, greeting cards, place cards, menu cards, and so much more with designs that are clean and simple.  They also have this neat little mailing service called Ginger Mail which sends you a little package of greeting cards (related to upcoming holidays), a cute little calendar for the month, and other adorable stationary items every 6 weeks!

I don’t know about you, but I LOVE the idea of this mailing service.  I am the type of person who always intends on sending that birthday card, but never actually picks it up at the store. The day comes, then goes, and I am, once again, that mediocre friend who didn’t send a birthday card.  I’ll share with you the Ginger mail I received for the December 1st mailing:

December Ginger Mail

There was also a shopping list notepad, but I have been using that religiously, so it’s almost gone.

I’m giving away the January 15th mailing which includes lots of Valentine’s Day goodies and a few other fun things.  To enter the giveaway, simply leave a comment below along with your email address (so I know how to contact you if you win).  The giveaway is open from today until Friday, 1/31 at 12am MST.  The winner will be announced and contacted Friday morning and will have 48 hours to claim the prize.

In the meantime, check out these adorable freebie printables from Ginger P Designs….Valentine’s Day Wine Labels!!

Hello! I hope you all are having a wonderful Friday morning. It’s been especially wonderful for me! You see, I woke up to rain this morning. Yep. That doesn’t happen much here in Arizona. So I am enjoying some time to myself, windows open, Pandora pleasing my ears, and coffee in hand!

Sierra (Femmefatale25)!!!

Sierra, if you could please use the contact form in the upper right hand corner of the page to get in touch with me! Winner will have 48 hours to claim prize, if I don’t hear anything by 11am (MST) on Sunday then I will move on to the next! Thanks to all who entered!

If you didn’t win, no worries. I do this every month.

Last day to enter November’s giveaway!

Hi loves! Sorry I have been away this whole week. Seems like life had other plans than for me to diligently post every morning, like I normally would. The giveaway is still open until midnight! The winner will be selected and announced tomorrow morning, so come back to see if you’re the lucky winner! Also, I have an awesome DIY Christmas stocking project coming up! Still tweaking the design, but it should be up soon.

Have a wonderful Thursday and come back tomorrow to see who will win the handmade Christmas wreath from Alicia Rose Crafty Creations and a $25 Etsy gift card!

November Etsy Giveaway

I had to make a quick trip to the grocery the other day to get just one thing for my cinnamon garland craft when I ran smack-dab into a huge display of Royal Dansk Butter Cookies. My first thought was those evil shelf-stockers, putting this beautiful display of holiday butter cookies right in the middle of the aisle, ensuring that I’ll run right into it and not be able to resist the adorable little tin decorated with snowmen and Christmas trees. My second thought was I’m pregnant. What the heck. And into the cart that little tin went!

Now, it’s important that I share with you my order of preference with the diagram below, 1 being the best-ever cookie and 4 being the worst-in-the-tin-but-still-good cookie.

I have been giving all of the #4’s to Milo. He seems to enjoy them as much as I enjoy the #1’s. Win-win.

On to the giveaway! This month, I am showing some more familial love and giving away a beautiful, handmade Christmas wreath from my Step-mother’s Etsy shop, AliciaRose Crafty Creations, along with a $25 Etsy gift card!

AR Crafty Creations Giveaway

My step-mom, Deanna, does custom order quilts, table runners, afghans, etc…She does it all. I always get super inspired and excited when I go to my dad’s house because she has this big room with, like, 4 sewing machines, a huge wall of yarn and fabric, and all sorts of crafty things. The Christmas wreath I’m giving away is perfect for a small kitchen window or door. I wish I had a small kitchen window, but then I wouldn’t be running this giveaway because the wreath would be in my window. Haha. My favorite thing about this wreath is that it smells like Christmas! The cinnamon sticks are real and they smell amazing.

Sofa slipcover {update}

I have been so terrible with this slipcover, but I finally sewed the skirt on yesterday! I just need to hem it at the bottom then trim the random threads and I’m done!

I’m pretty excited about my upcoming DIY projects! For November I will be doing DIY Christmas tree ornaments since I have nothing for my Christmas tree…come to think if it, I don’t even have a tree yet.

Weekly Dinner Menu {10/28 – 11/3}

Weekly Dinner Menu

Monday {10/28} – Perfect Roast Chicken with Garlic-Butternut Squash Mash & Homemade Green Beans

Tuesday {10/29} – Chicken Noodle Soup

Wednesday {10/30} – Leftover soup from Tuesday

Thursday {10/31} – Sweet Balsamic Glazed Pork Loin with brown rice & broccoli

Friday {11/1} – Pulled Pork Wraps from Thursday’s leftover pork

Saturday {11/2} – In-laws in town, probably out-to-eat!

Sunday {11/3} – Sandwiches!

I’m getting better at this whole leftover-usage-of meat thing.  It really helps when you buy strictly organic meat, since it’s pretty pricy, so if you’re wondering how to eat good meat on a budget, then try buying huge pieces of meat and using them in different dishes!

So, I got my first Bountiful Basket this past weekend {if you don’t know what Bountiful Baskets are, check them out HERE}.  I was pretty pleased with the selection of fruits and vegetables, including a pie pumpkin and persimmons! I think it will definitely be a weekly thing for this family, especially since I received roughly 20 pieces of organic produce, not including the bag of apples and strawberries, all for only $25!

Come back tomorrow for a delicious breakfast recipe & don’t forget to enter my current giveaway {ends 11/1}.  My Grandfather makes homemade goat’s milk soap and I’m giving away 4 bars from his Etsy shop, MilkNMore.

Goats Milk Soap **Giveaway** from Milk ‘n More

MilkNMore giveaway

I’m really excited about this giveaway from one of my favorite Etsy shops, MilkNmore.  I may be a little biased, though, since this shop is owned by my Grandpa. He makes all of the soap in his home with milk from his goats.  That being said, even if this soap wasn’t lovingly and carefully made by my Grandfather’s hands, I would still love it.

I have been using this soap for a couple of months now and am proud to say that my lotion use has definitely decreased. Living in Arizona, I normally need to put lotion on after every shower and every time I wash my hands. This homemade goats milk soap hydrates my skin enough that I don’t always have to do that!

The soap is made mostly from goats milk, and includes other ingredients like olive oil, shea butter, and coconut oil. All ingredients are natural and safe (and listed on the Etsy shop’s page)! The soap is scented with essential oils and comes in 10 unique scents (unscented also available).  I will be giving away 4 bars of soap ($20 value) in mellow orange, jasmine, light lavender, & lemon (my personal favorite!).

Etsy Giveaway from MilkNMore

I like to use the lavender scented soap on my toddler for his nightly baths to help settle him down. It seems to work since he goes to bed within the hour.  I don’t have to worry about what I’m putting on his skin, either, since all of the ingredients are familiar to me and all are safe, handmade by my wonderful Grandpa, on his farm in Florida.

This song has been around for a pretty good while, but I wanted to share it here since I’ve been listening to it a lot lately.
