I mentioned a few posts ago that I will be converting my guest bedroom/office/sewing room into a nursery for my baby girl, who is expected to arrive in January. I’ve been gathering ideas for her room and have pretty much decided that grey and white are going to be the main colors, with pops of bright, girly colors all over the room. Here are a few things I’ve been eyeing:

Of course, I have tons of DIY’s in mind such as a cloth triangle banner for the back wall, some ledge shelving, and a few colorful canvas paintings. I’m so excited to be having a little girl! Having a boy is super fun and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in this world, and now I get the amazing privilege of raising a daughter. I’m a lucky girl.

First of all, congrats on your little girl! Second love the name you picked as well as the nursery ideas. Since you seem crafty and are good at sewing have you seen these fabric bins —> http://birchfabrics.blogspot.com/2013/08/tutorial-fabric-bins-featuring-fort.html.
They seem similar to the land of nod ones, and fairly easy to DIY as well. You could always use chipboard from any art store to secure the sides and bottom as well. Gotta love pinterest!

No problem! I’ve seen a few here and there, between pinterest and etsy. You could always add handles and separators and all the other details. Trial and error, right? The good thing is that you can use it for the nursery for diaper organization, toys, or books, and then continue to use them for hair supplies, headbands, and even dress up clothes as she gets older
