My First Quilt…Well, The Top of it, At Least

I finally decided to start on my first quilt. I say “finally” because I bought the fabric about a month ago and just shoved it into a corner in my room, hoping that the quilt would make itself. Turns out, quilting is fun!

Squares are sewn together. Now it's time to decide in what order they should be sewn.

Still wasn't looking right at this point. I have to say that, so far, this has been the hardest thing about making this quilt..well the front of the quilt, at least.

Here are the pretty fabrics that I chose to use:

It’s not a big quilt. It has sixteen 11×11 inch squares. It will probably end up belonging to one of my friends new baby girls. Or maybe I’ll keep it, in hopes that I will have a little girl of my own one day.

I’m not entirely sure what the next step is supposed to be, but luckily I have a few quilting friends who can help me out! Hopefully the finished product will be posted soon. Until next time…
